Winners of The Secret Book Quest prize draw announced!

Ten more dedicated young readers from across Devon and Torbay have won prizes after successfully completing The Secret Book Quest at their local library. 

The Secret Book Quest is a reading challenge aimed at primary school aged children but open to any child 5 years+. After signing up for free at their local library, children work through their own The Secret Book Quest booklet collecting stickers along the way. The challenge is complete when they reach a total of 50 books. Upon completion they receive a certificate, a special prize, and entry into a special prize draw.  

Prize draws happen twice a year, and the aim is to offer a little additional encouragement in developing a life-long love of books and reading, which will ultimately help improve literacy levels and cultivate the benefits that come with that. 

Winners were drawn from all across the county, including Barnstaple, Tavistock, Torquay, Teignmouth, Dawlish and Exmouth. 

Everyone who joins The Secret Book Quest is automatically added into the prize draw, they don’t need to have completed the challenge. Prizes included an electronic drum kit and Sony headphones, a LEGO brick set and ideas book, Dinosaur Bingo, and three £50 Waterstones vouchers. 

The next prize draw is scheduled to take place on Friday 11th October 2024 and winners announced on Monday 14th October 2024.
