Sign Up For The Great West Run 2027

We are excited to be taking part in Devon’s biggest race – The Great West Run in Exeter on Sunday 23rd May 2027. But we need your help! We are looking for people to run the race and raise vital funds for our libraries.

For many people, the library is a lifeline. It helps reduce loneliness by providing a safe, friendly place to meet people, join activities, and spend time in the community. Whether it’s a parent attending a story session, an older person joining a social group, or someone looking for advice and support, libraries bring people together.

Libraries also help people access opportunities and support. They provide free access to information, digital services, learning opportunities, and trusted guidance when people need it most. For those facing challenges, the library can be an important first step towards finding help and building confidence.

At the heart of every library is a love of reading. Libraries inspire children to discover books, help adults continue learning, and open up new worlds through stories and knowledge. They nurture literacy, imagination, and creativity for generations to come. This is amplified by the huge array of arts and culture activities that are accessible to everyone, no matter their background or income.

By fundraising for Libraries Unlimited, you’re helping to keep these vital community spaces thriving. Your support helps ensure that more people can connect, learn, create, access support, and discover the joy of reading. You’re playing a part in creating stronger, happier, and more connected communities.

Everybody is welcome, whether you’re an experienced runner or a newbie.

We ask fundraisers to raise a minimum of £90, excluding Gift Aid. The deadline to sign up for one of our charity places in The Great West Run is 28th February 2027.

If you want to make a difference in 2027, join us and run for libraries!
