Service Update – Some online services are currently unavailable (Updated 12th July 2021)Posted on 02 Jul 2021
Service Update (12th July) – Our catalogue is now back online so customers are able to login and can browse the catalogue. Customers should be able to access Libby, Overdrive and BorrowBox. Online resources – Ancestry, British Standards Online, Newsbank and Kompass Easy Business are available.
Our library management system is experiencing a national outage which is impacting our online services and means customers are currently unable to check your library account via our website, use the online catalogue, or access Libby, Overdrive and BorrowBox. Customers are also unable to use Ancestry, British Standards Online, Newsbank and Kompass Easy Business at this time.
We are working to restore services that are affecting Libraries Unlimited as well as many other library services across the UK. We are supporting our suppliers in order to resolve this situation but as yet do not have a timeframe for when they will be able to restore full access to online services
You can still return, borrow and renew in person in the library. Please remember to take your library card with you. Some libraries have adjusted opening hours due to COVID restrictions so please check your local Devon Libraries or Torbay Libraries webpage before travelling.
Due to this service disruption, we have extended all renewals due from 28th June for 4 weeks. Reservation fees, loan limits and account limit (back to £5) were due to be reintroduced from 1st July, but this has now been postponed until further notice.
If you returned or borrowed items between 28th June – 1st July 2021 inclusive your account will not yet have been updated to reflect this as the transaction is stored on our backup files. We do not yet know when our backup files can be uploaded so if you have any queries about your library account please contact your local library.
Contact your local library by phone or email for assistance with renewals or any other enquiries. You will need to have your library card number available for any queries about your account.
For general enquiries email email@example.com
Please bear with us, at this time, as we are receiving an increased number of enquiries. We are working very hard to resolve this situation and we apologise for any inconvenience.
