Libraries Unlimited launches new fundraising lottery

Posted on 13 Jan 2023

A chance to win £25,000 each week and support vital library services in Devon is on offer with the new Libraries Unlimited weekly charity lottery.

Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 per week. As well as the potential £25,000 top prize, there will be other chances to win shopping vouchers, food subscriptions and Christmas hampers.

The first draw takes place on Saturday 28th January.

Libraries Unlimited, the charity that runs the 54 libraries around Devon and Torbay,  will receive 50% of every ticket bought, with all proceeds going back into providing library services.

Rachel Payne, Business Development and Fundraising Manager, said: “Our libraries provide warm, safe spaces for everyone, and receive over 1.5 million visits a year. The cost-of-living crisis this winter has seen our buildings also offering community fridges, hygiene banks and warm winter clothes rails.”

“Playing the weekly lottery means people can support libraries, and indirectly help those most in need all over Devon and Torbay. We will receive 50% of every ticket bought, and we’re hoping the new lottery will create a sustainable source of income to support our work.”

Libraries Unlimited believes…

…in the unlimited potential of library services to make a positive difference to people’s lives and communities through a shared love of reading and access to high quality information and facilities.
