Libraries announce prize draw for children who complete The Secret Book Quest – a free, magical reading adventure!

Young readers in Devon and Torbay have the chance to win fabulous prizes when they complete The Secret Book Quest – a new, free reading challenge taking place in libraries run by Libraries Unlimited.
The current prize draw is running until 13th April 2022. Children who read 50 books by that time and complete the challenge will have their names added into the ‘Secret Book Quest Prize Draw’.
The prizes are:
1 x Lego Bookshop (Value £149.99)
3 x Circle Tales Board Game (circletales.com)
3 x Waterstones £50 gift voucher
3 x family tickets for a movie at any Scott Cinema (kindly donated by Scott Cinemas)
Libraries Unlimited Reading Development Manager Lucy Banks said: “We are thrilled to announce our first prize draw as part of The Secret Book Quest. Every child that finishes will get a certificate and a special prize, as well as being entered into this fabulous draw.”
“Children who complete the challenge after 13th April won’t miss out – there will be more draws in the future with new and exciting prizes up for grabs. We hope that these will inspire more children to join the Quest and discover a love of reading to stay with them for life.”
The Secret Book Quest launched in libraries on Saturday 13th November and is aimed at children over the age of five. When they sign up children receive their own special booklet along with their first sticker. They are guided through 10 beautifully themed worlds (including space and ancient history) to read 50 books, collect all the stickers, and decipher the secret code.
The draw will take place at 4.30pm on Wednesday 13th April 2022 in Exeter Library’s children’s library and will be broadcast live on the library’s Facebook page.
The prize draw is only open to children who complete the Secret Book Quest in a library run by Libraries Unlimited in Devon and Torbay.

The following T&Cs apply for the prize draw – deadline for entry will be when the Secret Book Quest prize draw ends at 9am on 13th April 2022; the prize will be drawn live at 4:30pm on 13th April 2022 in Exeter Library and broadcast live on their Facebook page; all eligible finishers will be allocated a unique number and a random number generator will be used to pick each winner; the winners will be notified within 7 days of the draw using the contact details on their library account; any prizes not collected within one month of the notification will be re-drawn; the prizes are non-transferable; employees of Libraries Unlimited are not eligible for entry; the prize draw is only open to children who complete the Secret Book Quest in a library run by Libraries Unlimited.
