Join Active Devon’s 16 Days of Action: Free wellbeing events across our libraries

The 16 Days of Action campaign is running from 25 November (International Day Against Violence Against Women) to 10 December (World Human Rights Day), calling for an end to gender-based violence and violence against women and girls. Active Devon has partnered with Libraries Unlimited and other local organisations across Devon to raise awareness and encourage positive health and wellbeing through physical activity.

Many of the events will take place in libraries, so why not see if there’s one near you? These events are available free of charge to anyone who wants to participate. You can register to attend today.

  • 4 December – The Active Devon Big Yoga Event:
    This will be held in multiple library locations across Devon, with an online participation option. Learn more and book.
  • 7 December – Yoga and Gong Relaxation Event at Barnstaple Library. Learn more and book.
  • 8 December – Beginner Kickboxing Event hosted by Tigerstyle Sports Karate & Kickboxing Centre at Exeter Community Centre. Learn more and book.

Additional opportunities will include free adult cycle training to support new or returning cyclists. Learn more and book a free session.

Beth Harris, Health & Wellbeing Manager at Libraries Unlimited, said: “Health and wellbeing play a huge part in how we support communities here at Libraries Unlimited. Alongside reading materials, we offer a wide range of activities and events across our 54 libraries, such as chair yoga, walking groups, and craft sessions. Partnering with Active Devon for the county-wide yoga session is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting accessibility and connection in health and wellbeing. Everyone is welcome, so feel free to join in!”
