Discover your family history for free with Ancestry Library Edition

Are you interested in finding out about your ancestors? Would you like to research your family tree? Find out more about your back story. Ancestry Library Edition gives you access to historical records and photos giving you information about your family tree and distant descendants.
Ancestry Library Edition makes tracing your family history easy and accessible for all. Or you may be interested in historical records and Ancestry Library Edition provides a vast archive to explore.
To access Ancestry, customers will need to log in to their library account in any library, with their borrower card number and PIN and visit the ‘My Profile’ page. They will then be able to see the special link to ‘Ancestry Library Edition’ and start researching their family history.
If you are not currently a member, you can join Devon Libraries or Torbay Libraries online. You will then need to go to a library to access to Ancestry Library Edition and our full digital library.
