SUMMARY:Printmaking and Sashiko Stitching Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Looking for a creative and meaningful half-term activity? \nThis relaxed session is all about experimenting\, getting a little messy\, and enjoying the process of making together. You’ll design and create your own colourful patterned fabric pieces\, working individually and collaboratively to explore different textures\, patterns\, and techniques. No experience is needed\, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new! \nYour creations will become part of a larger\, collaborative artwork\, a patchwork “map” of our community which is assembled and displayed in the library. This shared piece will celebrate creativity in all its forms\, highlighting the beauty of diverse styles coming together. The focus is on playful exploration rather than “perfect” results\, creating something truly special as a group. \nAs part of Green Libraries Week\, the workshop also offers a gentle introduction to stitching skills inspired by traditional repair techniques. It’s a chance to think about sustainability\, mending\, and reusing textiles in creative ways. \nCome along\, connect with others\, and stitch together something meaningful\, one piece at a time. \nPlease note:  \nSuitable for ages 7+ but adults without children are welcome. \nAll children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult in the library \n
