Discover Cancer Support in Your Local Library
Have you been affected by cancer? According to Macmillan, someone is diagnosed with cancer every 75 seconds in the UK. This World Cancer Day comes with welcome news from the Government with the new National Cancer Plan for England. Libraries are sources of support, which is why we worked with Peninsula Cancer Alliance to create the Cancer Care Collection, consisting of:
- 43 physical books made up of a mixture of adult, young adult and children’s books
- A digital collection available for free to library members on the BorrowBox app and website
If you have already borrowed a book from the collection, then please let us know what you thought of it, by emailing letstalk@librariesunlimited.org.uk. Equally, please let us know if you think there are any books which should be added to the collection.
